27/03/07 Aidan arrives home to present some strange blisters between his fingers. On closer inspection we discover the beginnings of chicken pox!! The next two weeks are spent juggling parental roles/work rosters and enduring hours of playstation and scooby doo dvd's!
02/04/07 Aidan goes back to school to finish out first term. Schedule back to normal...or is it??
04/04/07 While in the midst of packing school lunches, Tahlia requests identification or a mark on her chest, hmmm I wonder what that could be!? Tahlia carries out her assignment of fetching her youngest brother for inspection....two counts of chicken pox. More juggling and a spotty Easter coming up!!
05/04/07 Alex jumps over the back of the couch through some dividing curtains into his new bedroom. Result....splits leg on corner of open drawer. A phone call is made requesting Gib and Aidan to come back from soccer training, in anticipation of a possible hospital visit. On further inspection an executive decision is made and we manage to repair said split with butterfly closures and medium sized dressing. All collapse in lounge room providing cuddles to walking wounded while awaiting kick- in of previously administered panadol.
08/04/07 Yay!! Easter Morning equals chocolate!! Yum! The children are pleased with the haul the Easter bunny has left and progress to the back yard for our traditional Easter hunt. Sure is messy that Bunny....drops eggs everywhere!! On re-entering the house Alex is found to have brushed against something in the garden resulting in.....HIVES. I guess the chicken pox weren't itchy enough. A waterproof dressing is placed on leg injury and after a shower and application of some anti-itch cream he feels a bit better! Definitely not his weekend!!
This year I am equally pleased with the Easter Bunny. I must have been a good girl as he left me a choc coated caramelised macadamia nut egg!!
Now where is the flyer for that new gym that was in the letter box..........
